Podcasts

I enjoy podcasts, although I'm not very consistent in listening to them. This page has a list of the ones that I've loved the most over the years.

Fiction Podcasts

Welcome to Night Vale

The original big fiction podcast. Night Vale has a special place in my heart. Radio broadcasts from a weird town in the middle of the desert.

Alice Isn't Dead

Trucking horror from the wonderful folks who created Welcome to Night Vale.

The Penumbra Podcast

Sci-fi noir audio drama on Mars with some fun standalone stories sprinkled in. There are other arcs as well, but I haven't gotten to them yet.

The Adventure Zone

The McElroy brothers' & their dad's TTRPG podcast. The first arc, Balance, is the only one I've fully listened to, but I really enjoyed it. Lots of goofs and it also made me cry at the end.

Lost Terminal

A hopepunk podcast about the adventures of an AI and friends. Very delightful. Created by the same person who runs the No Boilerplate channel on YouTube.

Nonfiction Podcasts

My Brother, My Brother, and Me

The McElroy brothers' comedy advice show for the modern era. Lots of good bits and jokes. I'm not usually caught up, but whenever I'm taking a flight I usually listen to several episodes in a row to pass the time. I probably make lots of weird faces as I try to avoid falling over laughing in the airport.

Podcasts I Haven't Listened To Yet

  • The Magnus Archives: Weird horror. It feels like everyone ever has recommended this.
  • Modem Prometheus: Urban fantasy from some folks who also make Lost Terminal.
